Bacteriology Seminar Series from the Edinburgh Microbiology Forum: Charles Dorman (Trinity College Dublin) - Host adaptation and bacterial regulon evolution, a new twist

  • Title: Host adaptation and bacterial regulon evolution, a new twist
  • When:  Tuesday 16 January 2018
  • Time:  3 pm
  • Location:  Roslin Ground Floor seminar room G-020
  • Host:  Stephen Fitzgerald

Journal Club for this seminar will take place Tuesday January 9th 2018 in Roslin room G- 020

Seminars will take place in the Basement Seminar room, The Roslin Institute (Easter Bush), at 3:00 pm unless otherwise indicated.  We aim to have them on the second Tuesday of each month, although occasionally this will not be possible. There will be time for post-docs and graduate students to meet with the speaker as a group. If anyone specifically wishes to meet the speaker, please contact Amy Richards (amy-claire.richards@roslin.ed.ac.uk) or the designated host in the first instance.  It is mandatory that all Roslin bacteriology graduate students attend these seminars. If you wish to be added to the distribution list, and are not at the Roslin Institute, this can also be done by contacting Amy.

A Journal Club is being run alongside this seminar series. This journal club is for all Roslin Bacteriology PhD Students and PostDocs and will focus on the work of the invited speaker. The journal club will take place one week before the seminar at 3 pm in the Ground floor seminar room of the Roslin Institute. The journal to be discussed will be sent out separately by Prerna Vohra (Prerna.Vohra@ed.ac.uk) in advance of the journal club. We hope that the journal club will encourage more questions from Early Career Microbiologists after the seminar as well as providing a wider microbiology knowledge base.
