Wellcome Trust Applied Bioinformatics and Public Health Microbiology Conference

The 6th Applied Bioinformatics and Public Health Microbiology conference is now open for registrations and abstract submissions. This meeting provides a multidisciplinary forum to highlight how advances in microbial and viral genomics, bioinformatics and sequencing technology are being translated to meet the needs of public health.

The programme will focus on the use of sequencing technologies to understand microbial diversity, evolution, pathogenesis, virulence, antimicrobial resistance and host-pathogen interactions within the context of public health microbiology. We will review and share best practice of implementing sequence technology in routine frontline diagnostics and real-time surveillance. The conference will also focus on the implications of using large-scale high-throughput data in the public-health setting.

We welcome abstracts submissions from all areas relevant to the main themes of the meeting, for both oral and poster presentations. A limited number of bursaries are available for PhD students.
