International Society for Neglected Tropical Diseases conference - Philanthropy in NTDs and Global Health

We are bringing together a wide range of international partners to assess the role and evolution of philanthropy in funding and shaping global health, with particular emphasis on the next decade.

There will be first hand experiences from philanthropic organisations and donation recipients as well as the opportunity for healthcare professionals, humanitarian agencies and government officials to voice their perception and experiences in this context.

In addition, sessions will look at the directions from which new philanthropic sources or channels might come and how to engage new donors as the global economic & geopolitical arena evolves.

The day will consist of 4 sessions:

  • Session 1: Trends in philanthropy for NTDs & global health
  • Session 2: Emergence of East Asian philanthropy & development finance
  • Session 3: Innovative & venture philanthropy
  • Session 4: Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility

Keynote speakers include:

  • Dr. Klaus Brill - Vice President Corporate Commercial Relations (Bayer Pharma)
  • Mrs. Michèle Joanisse - Head of Fundraising DNDi (Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative)
  • Dr. BT Slingsby -  CEO & Executive Director (Global Health Innovative Technology Fund Japan)
  • Dr. Neeraj Mistry - Managing Director (Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases, Sabin Vaccine Institute)

We would strongly urge you to consider attending and participating actively in this conference and project, as the day is organised to maximize multidisciplinary collaborations and to increase both the understanding of the NTD & global health landscape & opportunities as well as the visibility of potential implementation partners for the policy, donor and international organisations.

This is tailored as an opportunity not only to significantly develop collaboration opportunities with a wide spectrum of partners from the private and public sectors worldwide, but also is a chance to learn directly from the donors and funders exactly what they are looking for in terms of potential partners, through the networking, the presentations, and our ISNTD Philanthropy Conference Handbook and Project Portfolio.

We have a limited number of attendee spaces (100 to be exact) and currently have an early bird rate in play until Friday 15 August 2014. Here is a direct link to registration:
