Three members of Edinburgh Infectious Diseases elected to the Royal Society of Edinburgh

We are delighted to announce that three members of Edinburgh Infectious Diseases are among the 56 new Fellows elected to The Royal Society of Edinburgh today.

Professor David Gray, Head of the School of Biological Sciences; Clare Blackburn, Professor of Tissue Stem Cell Biology, and Sue Welburn, Professor of Medical and Veterninary Molecular Epidemmiology, and Director of the Global Health Academy, are three of ten new Fellows elected at the University of Edinburgh.

The Royal Society of Edinburgh has also highlighted several new Fellows who are notable not only for their individual successes, but also as inspirational figures for young women who want to excel in their chosen profession.  Among them is Professor Dorothy Miell, who is Head of the College of Humanitites and Social Science at the University of Edinburgh, and is an influential member of the Edinburgh Infectious Diseases strategic board.
