Keith Matthews given Sanofi - Institut Pasteur Award for 2015 - many congratulations!

Professor Keith Matthews, Director of the Centre for Immunity, Infection and Evolution at the University of Edinburgh has been made a laureate of the Sanofi - Institut Pasteur Awards for 2015.

The Sanofi - Institut Pasteur Awards were created in 2012 to recognise outstanding research demonstrating real scientific progress in the life sciences, specifically in the area of tropical and neglected diseases (http://www.pasteur.fr/en/sanofi-institut-pasteur-awards).   Keith's award is for the enormous contributions he has made to the study of African trypanosome parasites that are the cause of sleeping sickness. 

The Awards Ceremony took place on Wednesday 4 November at the Institut Pasteur in Paris in the presence of the Jury members and was followed by a symposium.
