Please join the Unviersity of Edinburgh for the International Women's Day Lecture and Panel on the topic of Women in Sport - Going Gold. Panel members will include: Katherine Grainger, MBE, British Rower Olympic Gold Medallist, and Louise Martin, CBE, Chair of sportscotland, and Commonwealth Games Federation Honorary Secretary. This event is free, but booking is essential.

The University of Edinburgh’s female scientists started their campaign for equality with street riots in the 1870s. Today, an Edinburgh professor is the first female president of the Royal Society of Chemistry. This short documentary film, "A Chemical Imbalance", celebrates how much has been achieved, and explores factors that contribute to the continued under-representation of women in STEM subjects.

This meeting will bring together leading researchers from the UK working on the role of neuroimmune interactions in normal brain function, ageing, neurodegeneration and neural repair.  Recent advances in knowledge will be highlighted and emerging models and techniques for studying neuroimmune biology will be discussed.

The meeting will include a range of talks and poster sessions and will include time for discussion among attendees.
