The Beltane team is delighted to announce that the Beltane Annual Gathering 2013 will take place on Tuesday 11th June at the fantastic Summerhall!

As with previous Gatherings, this one will be the biggest networking opportunity – or, shall we say, “Synergy” opportunity – of the Beltane Network’s calendar. We will celebrate the successes of our Network members, showcase best practice and will have a good think with you about what Beltane should be doing in the year to come. All of this will, of course, be done with wine and food to sustain us!

We are very lucky to have Prof Rob Wilkinson from the University of Cape Town, South Africa as the Ker Memorial Lecturer at the Edinburgn Infectious Diseases symposium on 28 May.

So that students and postdocs have an opportunity to meet with Rob in an informal setting, on the morning following the symposium (Wednesday 29 May) he has agreed to meet with them to give further insight into his life and work in South Africa.  Since it is likely that students from different campuses will want to talk with him, meetings will be held at two separate venues.

  • The first will be held at the Roslin Institute at around 10 - 11 am, and a second will be at Kings Buildings at around 12.30 - 1.30 pm.

Further details about the rooms and precise timings will be posted nearer the event.
