  • When:  Friday 25 January 2013
  • Location:  Apex International, Waterloo Place, Edinburgh

In preparation for its 3rd series of competitions, scheduled to open in early 2013, DIIA will be holding a consortium building event in London on 15 January 2013, Manchester 22 January and in Edinburgh on the 25 January. Register for the events via this link:

The DIIA Innovation Platform aims to reduce the mortality, morbidity and economic burden of infectious agents in humans and animals. There will be two competitions in the series:

  • Competition 1: Decentralised rapid diagnostics for human and bovine tuberculosis
  • Competition 2: Decentralised rapid diagnostics for endemic animal diseases

The word decentralised has been used to capture a wide variety of testing paradigms including point-of-care/point-of-sampling tests, and tests carried out in satellite labs and mobile units.

The scope of these competitions will be presented at the meeting and delegates will be given an opportunity to request and attend 1:1 bio-partnering meetings.
