Conference: 3rd Heidelberg Forum for Young Life Scientists

We are PhD students from the Heidelberg research institutes and graduate schools EMBL, DKFZ, HBIGS, ZMBH, BZH, MPI and CellNetworks.  We set up this symposium to bring together PhD students and young scientists from various fields of life sciences.

Our symposium will feature talks by internationally renowned speakers, e.g. Prof. Martin Glennie, Prof. Konrad Hochedlinger and Prof. Kai Simons, as well as PhD students in the research fields of stem cells, OMICS, immunology and infections, and biotechnology creating a comprehensive environment for interdisciplinary exchange and networking.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Give a short talk in any of the four sessions
  • Present a poster and participate in the poster competition
  • Attend workshops run by our industrial sponsors

Everyone is welcome to attend, and PhD students in particular are encouraged to do so.

Participation at our symposium is free of charge!
You can register on our conference website: (Abstract submission deadline is 6 April 2013).

On the web page you will also find more information, including the complete list of speakers and the detailed program.  Also note that there will be a traditional PhD party on the last day of our forum!
