British Association for Lung Research (BALR) Annual Meeting - Bath

The British Association for Lung Research (BALR) Annual Meeting will be hosted by Professor Mark Lindsay.  The organising committee have managed to attract a fantastic group of scientists/clinicians that will be presenting on ’Novel Concepts in Lung Research’ including the microbiome, immunotherapy, circadian clock, non-coding RNAs, imaging, proteomics and single cell sequencing, as well as clinical updates in the areas of asthma (Holgate), COPD (Barnes), IPF (Jenkins) and lung cancer (Crosbie).

We would also like to highlight that there are prizes for Young Investigators (PhD students - £750) and Early Career Scientists (£750), which will chosen following oral presentations, as well as a poster prize (£250). Great opportunities for students and early post-docs to present their work!

This will also be a great social event, with the Conference meal at the Bath Function Rooms on the Thursday night.

If you require further information, would like to help out or know anybody that might provide sponsorship, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the BALR or Mark Lindsay (M.A.Lindsay@bath.ac.uk).
